REGULATORY NOTICE & TERMS OF ENGAGEMENT
Unless expressly agreed otherwise in writing, Boost provides services only within the UK and for UK customers subject to English law and jurisdiction.
Boost is not a law firm and is not regulated by the Solicitors’ Regulatory Authority (SRA) or any other regulatory bodies.
Individuals referenced or used by Boost may be qualified Solicitors, currently registered on the Roll and holding current Practising Certificates (or similarly in other jurisdictions). However, notwithstanding any such professional status or reference to any such individual’s practise as Solicitors, General Counsel (GC) or similar, for all purposes in connection with this website and any communications, activities or engagements conducted by or with Boost, such individuals are strictly ‘non-practising’. This means that in any engagements with Boost you will not have the same regulatory protections as clients of an authorised body. In particular, there is no ‘solicitor-client relationship’ and communications between you and Boost and you will not benefit from any legal professional privilege. You will also not have any protection under the Solicitor’s’ indemnity fund.
Solicitor’s practising regulations and models are changing, so Boost reserves the right to review individual practising and engagement models on a case by case basis for any specific client projects. This will take into account the relevant circumstances and specific legal and regulatory requirements applicable at that time.
Engagements with Boost are on a commercial basis and typically include contractual commitments regarding confidentiality and commercial professional indemnity benefits. Terms will be agreed for each relevant client project. Our standard terms of engagement are available on request and shall apply to all engagements unless otherwise agreed in writing.
